Mia

What a beautiful baby Miss Mia is!  She came a week before Thanksgiving.  I can't think of a better way to start off the holidays than with a precious gift like this!  She was so much fun to play with while I photographed her!  Congratulations to Larissa and Josh!

Edwards Family

Another mini session family with a ton of fun to be had.  I have photographed all of the Edwards kids seperately and as a family.  To say the least, I am always entertained by my sessions with them!  We were on another roller coaster of emotions with this gang and it made for the perfect Christmas card this year...

Simmons Family

I can't believe how time is flying.  I have had such a crazy fall schedule that I have gotten entirely too far behind on my blog.  I had a few family sessions just before the weather turned frigid.  The Simmons were one of those families.  I can't believe how fast their little girl Khloe has grown.  She took a little while to warm up to having family pictures but when I brought out the sucker, she was ready for her close ups.  The only sad part was when she dropped her sucker at the end of the session and the tears were flowing.  :(  One thing I do love about taking pictures is capturing moments like these....

Fall Family Mini Sessions

Well fall in Utah is officially here.  I am so excited I have decorate my front porch for fall!  We have gone from 80 degrees to 50 degrees overnight and had snow this week.  This is the part of living in Utah that makes me have a love/hate relationship with the place I live.  I love our changes in seasons but the severity in which the changes occur are, to say the least, a down side!  So here we are, the second week of October and the cold weather seems like it is here to stay.  I don't know about you but this puts me into panic mode on several fronts....Halloween costumes, planning the family Thanksgiving dinner and before we know it, Christmas is here.  With Christmas of course comes that family Christmas card which you need the family picture to include which brings me to the point of my entire post.
I call this the Family Christmas Card mini session week (because we all need at least one picture for our family Christmas card).  I will be doing a total of 4 sessions in Utah county on Saturday October 15th and 6 sessions on Sunday October 16th.  They will be 30 minute sessions for $75.  You will receive 5-10 edited photos on CD with your session.  Please contact me to book your session immediately, as they will go fast!

September 11, 2011

I went to our local 911 dedication today.  It is a tribute that our city has been doing every year since 911.  There is a flag for each of the victims of 911.  It is quite an awe inspiring scene.  As a part of the 10th anniversary they added a card to each flag that gave a brief bio on the victim.  I felt a special pause as I took my daughter to see the dedication.  She is only 6 years old and was obviously born after 911.  It makes me very thankful to all that serve our country and have chosen to put their lives on the line for our freedom.  My heart is heavy for all of the families that have to live without one of their family members as a result of the tragedy on this day in history.  All I can say is Thank you and God bless!

Alex

Meet little Alex.  He is the newborn baby to one of my best friend's in the world.  It feels like it took forever for him to arrive but he was worth the wait.  He is so adorable...the perfect combination of both mom and dad!  I'm sure he will be an avid BYU fan but with his mother's sensibility.  Congratulations Keith and Rushell!

Vaughn

This little guy is so adorable.  He is the latest addition to the Edwards family.  I think his dad is grateful for the addition of a boy in their girl filled home.  Although his older sisters are thrilled to have a baby in the house, his sister Sable did not love having to sit for pictures with him.  I've included one of the moments of controlled chaos for all you mom's out there who feel alone in dealing with toddlers and small babies!  I love moments like these...

Tegan

I have taken Miss Tegan's photograph several times over the first year of her life.  She has become more and more spirited with each shoot.  She is a little girl with a Big personality.  She made me laugh over and over again.  I don't think I have ever had someone take over a photo shoot quite like she did.  She is a girl that knows exactly what and how she wants things done!  Tegan can give the most darling smile one minute and the most hilarious look the next....I can't wait to see what she's like in another year!

States family

The States have got to be one of my favorite families that I have ever photographed.  It doesn't hurt that Charity (mom) is my best friend from jr. high.  Her four girls are amazing but I still don't know how Steve (dad) handles so many girls under one roof.  We had an eventful and unique photo shoot, from being yelled at by a grounds keeper to having a goose try and make a nest out of my camera bag.  To say the least, we had a lot of laughs!  Love you guys!

Nester family

I can't get over the Nester family.  They are so fun and cute together!  I had fun watching them be silly and goof off together.  The girls Haylee and Kaydence are so beautiful!  It's amazing to me when little girls are so grown up but you can still feel the small child in them beaming out for everyone to see!  These girls are so fun and spirited yet mature and sophisticated.  The perfect combination in my mind!  Tisha, you truly have a beautiful family!!!
