The bond of mother and child - Cannon

This is little Mr. Cannon. He is one of the little ones who has the
extra special bond with his mom. I can
generally calm down any baby and the same was true for this little guy but he
was a little different. It’s always hard
for little ones when you take off their diaper and are attempting to get those
adorable shots we all love. Cannon was
no exception; he would settle in with the perfect pose but then give the
smallest whimper for his mom’s touch, just to make sure she was near. Once he felt her touch he would snuggle right
in and was ready for his close up. I
love seeing the bond between mother and child!

This little guy
was beyond my normal 7-10 day old newborns so he did not want to cooperate for
pictures. I usually don’t take babies
this late but this little guys and his mom were in and out of the hospital for
the first couple weeks they were together so we did what we could to make it
work. What a way to start off your journey as a family. This first time mom was a trooper through it all!

Riley

Welcome Miss Riley! This little one is a reminder that no two
babies (or people for that matter) are alike, even when they are from the same
family. This little one was so sweet and
sleepy and bendy and sleepy. Oh ya, did I mention sleepy? As far as newborns go, she was a dream. I photographed her big sister when she was a
newborn also and can I tell you the difference was night and day. The only similarity between these two is that
they did both manage to poop during their session. I know, I know, it sounds gross but it comes
with the territory. I can’t wait to
photograph this little one with her fiery big sis!
